Scope of the tool

GasSplit provides free estimated fuel costs for shared trips, with optional manually entered tolls and parking. It assumes the driver paid all included costs. It does not process payments, track who paid, provide live local station prices or convert currencies. An optional US reference price feed is available for USD estimates; it may differ from the price you paid and is labelled with its source and retrieval time. Check your inputs and agree on a split with your group.

Estimates have limits

Vehicle reference data comes from FuelEconomy.gov for US-market vehicles. It may not cover your vehicle or exact configuration. EPA combined figures and manual inputs are estimates. Fuel use varies with conditions. No government endorsement or affiliation is implied.
